Common questions

Before you book

Questions we are asked most often, answered in full.

No. We are classified as an out-of-network provider and do not directly deal with insurance. We have chosen this model because insurance limits our ability to tailor our protocols to our patients’ needs. After your appointment we give you an invoice with codes so you can submit it to your insurer yourself. We cannot guarantee they will cover it. CareCredit and FSA cards are accepted.

Fill out the form on our contact page or text 301‑970‑9724, and our new patient representative will contact you by phone and text. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes. They work out the right appointment length for you and give you a transparent pricing breakdown, then send your questionnaires by email. A deposit holds your appointment time.

No. You do not need to get labs done beforehand, as our doctors will most likely order customized lab work based on your initial evaluation.

A treatment plan based on your symptoms, which is adjusted once your lab results come in. Thorough lab work is typically sent to Quest or LabCorp. Supplements are sent through our online dispensary and prescriptions go to your pharmacy.

No, most of our therapies are generally available to everyone. You are welcome to book a 15-minute consultation with Dr. Afrooz or Dr. Needle for $60 to determine which therapies suit your goals. That evaluation is required before High-Dose Vitamin C, EBOO or IV Methylene Blue, or if you have a more sensitive medical history.

Conventional care is very good at naming and managing a known disease. Our work starts a step earlier, with the question of why you are unwell in the first place, through in-depth history intakes and thorough testing including specialty tests of the immune, nervous and digestive systems and nutrigenetic analysis. Dr. Afrooz uses both conventional and integrative methods.

We completely understand how infuriating the modern-day healthcare system can be, everything from doctors who do not listen when you say you are not feeling well, to 15-minute appointments that leave you feeling unheard while not addressing the root cause. If you want to get a feel for our doctors, you are welcome to request a free 10-minute discovery call. After the call there is no obligation to schedule.

We are on the third floor at 8808 Centre Park Drive, and there is elevator access to Suite 301. If you need anything else to get in comfortably, call ahead and we will sort it out.
