What we help with

Heart Health & Risk Factors

Nearly half of American adults have at least one major risk factor. Most of them are addressable.

How we approach it

Hypertension and high cholesterol typically cause no symptoms at all, which is why they are usually found late. Dr. Afrooz is board-certified in family medicine, and cardiovascular risk is assessed as part of a full history and in-office examination rather than as an add-on.

What follows is a personalized wellness plan: dietary change, an activity plan matched to what you actually do, habit change, and regular visits to see whether the numbers have moved.

Heart health and cardiovascular risk factors, a whole-person view.

What we evaluate

  • Blood pressure, cholesterol and blood chemistry
  • Weight, activity level and sleep
  • Smoking, alcohol and other modifiable risks
  • Regular monitoring so change is measured, not assumed
