Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Breathing oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure inside one of our soft-shell chambers.
What a session involves
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which allows the lungs to take in more oxygen than under normal atmospheric conditions.
You lie down inside the chamber. Most people read or sleep through the session. A member of staff is nearby throughout, and the chambers sit in a daylit room rather than a windowless one.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is offered here as part of an integrative care plan. Whether it is appropriate for you is decided with a physician first.

Questions
Is it appropriate for me?
That is decided with a physician rather than booked off a menu. We do not publish a condition list for it, and we will tell you honestly if it is not the right tool.
What does it feel like?
You lie down inside the chamber while it pressurises. Most people notice their ears needing to equalise, like a descending aircraft.
